About WEAVING, Weaving Baskets, Weaving Bridges:
The MAC is honored to present WEAVING – Weaving Baskets, Weaving Bridges, a year-long project designed collaboratively by Pomo Culture Bearers and MAC team members. Using basketry as a vessel for healing, WEAVING provides a cross-cultural forum for sharing knowledge and traditions, and for confronting the history that shaped Lake County. We begin to construct new ways to live together, giving rise to greater cultural awareness and social justice. |
This project is supported in part by a grant award from the California Arts Council, a state agency. Visit arts.ca.gov to learn more.
