This piece functions as a synergy of environment, wildlife, and community. Acting as a shade canopy for people and plants, the structure also provides opportunity for bird perching. The cool shade eclipses, protects, and defends from the sun’s hot, harsh reality. Shifting shade provides respite to regroup, refresh, reconnect, restore. Birds and butterflies included represent species native to the park and region.
Diverse community members at community festivals and workshops contributed with birds and butterflies.
