Earth, Sky and Everything in Between is Lake County’s first exhibit of contemporary Native American art and the first to be curated by a Native American. It was visited by 580 students grades 4-12 as well as a multi-generational Community College class between September 16 and Oct 10, 2022.
Led by Native cultural educators and artists along with MAC teaching artists, students toured the exhibit then engaged in collagraphy printmaking in the studio, applying several principles of art and design learned in the gallery including pattern, rhythm, geometric and organic shapes and materials, and contrast.
