WEB OF LIFE ~ SUMMER ART CAMP at MAC

DISCOVER the Web of Life as we EXPLORE the wonders of nature and creativity!
Campers will embark on an exciting journey through ecosystems—soaring with birds and butterflies, diving into the mysteries of water creatures, and grounding themselves in exploring animals and plants of the place we call home.

Camp activities combine Science and Art through observation, games, storytelling, and hands-on projects.
From weaving intricate webs that reflect nature’s balance to crafting wind chimes that sing with the breeze and experimenting with upcycled art, children will delight in exploring the connections that sustain life. Among other activities, in June sessions we will create large creatures and masks from papier mâché to walk in the Middletown Days parade!

Led by inspiring teaching-artists and MAC's bi-lingual studio team this camp nurtures curiosity and creativity while encouraging a deeper understanding of the natural world.

I am amazed that my children and my nephews, ages ranging from 5-11 were all completely enthralled with art camp at the MAC. They each came home excited to share and show off their creations and eager to return the next day.
I am forever grateful for the MAC and the beautiful teachers there that create such a space of wonder that translates magically to a confidence in art and creation at home!

My daughter Thrives at MAC's art camp! She has been going for 6 years now and is excited each summer to be part of a creative adventure in a creative space with new and familiar friends! –CT

The MAC acknowledges that we operate on the unceded ancestral lands of the people known as Pomo, Wappo, Wintun, and Lake Miwok. Their descendants, the Middletown Rancheria of Pomo Indians of California Nation, live here today.
They are the past present and future stewards of this land.

We stand in solidarity with the First People recognizing the great harm done to them here, as well as their resilience. We pledge to continue to build authentic relationships and work together with them through creative action, towards healing both the land and the people.

We also recognize that our work is but a small step towards reconciliation and that there is much work to be done.
El MAC reconoce que operamos en las tierras ancestrales no cedidas de los pueblos conocidos como Pomo, Wappo, Wintun y Lake Miwok. Sus descendientes, la Nación Middletown Rancheria of Pomo Indians of California, viven aquí hoy.
