This installation, created from the remains of an ancient Oak Tree, invites remembrance and gratitude for the trees and living beings that inhabited this land. In giving our attention to the scarred and wounded landscapes of our planet we invite nature to receive our sincere apologies so healing can occur for humans and the natural world. Celebrating and shaping a future that is sustainable and rooted in a co-creative partnership with nature is the objective and essence of this art piece.
This sculpture, Resurrection, was part of the Locas project (2019). And, supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts. To find out more about how National Endowment for the Arts grants impact individuals and communities visit www.arts.gov
