Eagle and Condor is a ceramic mural that is being co-created by people across Lake County within their communities. The mural will be completed and installed on the MAC building facing Hwy 29 in Middletown.
Co-created by people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and generations across Lake County, the EAGLE and CONDOR ceramic mural is a symbol of Unity. The piece will enhance Middletown’s central junction, attracting residents and visitors to view, interact, and be photographed with the piece as they stand in front of, and “become the winged bird.” Multiple sections provide at least 18 engagement opportunities at locations within communities across Lake County. From community festivals to senior centers, boys and girls clubs, Tribal education centers, family health and wellness centers, and schools. Each section is composed of bead and fist-sized organic elements enabling creative freedom for all ages, abilities, and dexterities within an inviting and inclusive creative framework. |
Glazing, assembling and installation of the mural on the MAC building will happen in a series of public workshops at MAC in spring/summer 2025.
