About the Artist
My work is influenced by the world around me.
Animals, people, nature, humor, music, geography, great literature, etc.
I see satire and irony at every turn.
I am not limited to or confined in one format or medium.
I draw, paint, collect, assemble and sculpt.
My favorite animals to portray are rhinos, donkeys and bulls.
Donkeys and bulls are from my childhood in Mexico.
Rhinos came later while studying art at Sonoma State University.
My favorite continents to portray are Mexico and Africa.
The pyramids are from both Mexico and Africa.
My favorite art genres are Dada and Surrealism.
I was highly influenced by Dali, Miro, Tangy, Duchamp, Henri.
I have lived in Clearlake California for 25 years.
I am employed full time with the United States Postal Service.
I have two grown sons and two grandchildren.
I love animals and have three dogs.
